Are there any plans to take care of the North Pond? There is a lot of alge in it.

Most of the north pond is in Village Gardens so discussions with Campbell's has begun. I am not sure what resulted from the original talks with them or if any target dates for future plans have been made. Hopefully a board member more aware of the situation can post a comment to this section of the blog.

That is correct we are trying to work with Village Gardens to take a teamed effort in controlling the algae. Since they "own" the majority of the lake we would need to work together to address this issue, ie what treatments are being used (if any), how are they being applied, amount they are using, etc.

We have discussed this issue in detail at the last THO meeting and are working with the homeowners on the pond. The plan is to have the homeowners meet with a couple of the board members soon - next couple of weeks or so. In the meantime, we are working with Village Gardens on a plan.

We have had several discussions with our contractor who is maintaining the smaller pond to the south and they are ready to assist us in this effort to control the algae. We would also ask that homeowners in this area refrain from putting any chemicals in the pond until we can get further details from Village Gardens. We appreciate your patience and understand your frustration with this matter.

Thanks,
Thompson Creek HOA
